The Sharing A Vision conference is a collaborative endeavor sponsored by the Illinois Subdivision of the Division of Early Childhood (IDEC), the Illinois State Board of Education (Early Childhood Development and Early Childhood sections), the Regional Technical Assistance System (R*TAS), the Department of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities (DMHDD), the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), the Department of Rehabilitation Services (DORS), the Illinois Early Childhood Intervention Clearinghouse, Head Start, Illinois Child Care Resource and Referral, the Partnerships*Project, the Illinois Association for the Education of Young Children, and the Chicago Metro Association for the Education of Young Children.

The Sharing A Vision conference is a collaborative endeavor sponsored by the Illinois Subdivision of the Division of Early Childhood (IDEC), the Illinois State Board of Education (Early Childhood Development and Early Childhood sections), the Regional Technical Assistance System (R*TAS), the Department of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities (DMHDD), the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), the Department of Rehabilitation Services (DORS), the Illinois Early Childhood Intervention Clearinghouse, Head Start, Illinois Child Care Resource and Referral, the Partnerships*Project, the Illinois Association for the Education of Young Children, and the Chicago Metro Association for the Education of Young Children. This collective effort has resulted in a conference offering in-depth workshop sessions on a wide variety of topics; networking and information sharing opportunities; and exhibits from local and national vendors.

This year, the Steering Committee has responded to your requests for more intensive training by offering half day (2 1/2 hours) and full day (5 hours) sessions presented by invited speakers who are experts in their fields. In addition to these sessions, you will have an opportunity to network with colleagues from around the state who will be sharing their exemplary practices and programs at the Showcasing sessions. Also present in the Exhibit Hall will be a wide variety of local and national vendors displaying their products. Over 2,000 people attended the 1993 Sharing A Vision conference. We hope you will be part of the 1995 Sharing A Vision Conference beginning with the keynote reception on October 25 through the final session on October 27.
